President, Missi Smith
Missi
joined the Board of Directors in 2003, and made her first Methow Valley
stage appearance as a Crapshooter in Guys and Dolls. She also
choreographed Guys and Dolls and Godspell and directed Annie Get Your
Gun. This year, she acted the role of Jacqueline in Don't Dress for Dinner and was on the direction team for Twenty First Century Radio Theater. Missi grew up in Indiana singing and dancing throughout her
childhood in community, school, and professional groups. Later, she
performed with the Cardettes and the Ball State Dance Theatre at Ball
State University, where she earned a degree in teaching and dance
performance.
Vice-President, Renda Grim
Last year's President, Renda has been working with MVCT for many years. Her most recent onstage credits include Suzette in Don't Dress for Dinner and Assistant to the Radio Announcer in Twenty First Century Radio Theater. Backstage, Renda has worked on costumes and props for productions over the past ten years. This summer, we will see Renda onstage in The Merc's production of Lettice and Lovage in Twisp.
Secretary, Dana Stromberger
No stranger to MVCT productions, Dana joined the Board of Directors two years ago.
Treasurer, Robin Wheeler
Robin
has been on the Board of Directors since 2001 and is currently the
Treasurer. She has performed with the MVT since 1995. She has been seen
on stage many times in The Wizard of Oz, Angry Housewives, The Case of
the Dead Flamingo Dancer, An American Millionaire, The Pirates of
Penzance, The Wedding from Hell, and Guys and Dolls. In 2005 she was
the Assistant Director for Godspell. Also, she has graciously and
humorously co-hosted the Fabulous Fall Follies with Kelly Donoghue for
the past five years. And this year, she played the role of Radio Announcer in Twenty First Century Radio Theater. Besides the theater, Robin's hobbies include
fishing, cross-stitching, and playing with her grandson, Drake.
Kelly Donoghue
Kelly was the MVT president from 2001 - 2007 and his acting and directing credits include the following: Angry Housewifes - actor; The Case of the Dead Flamingo Dancer - Actor, Director; An American Millionaire - Director; Seance - Actor; Pirates of Penzance - Producer, Stage Manager; Wedding From Hell - Actor; The Boyfriend - Actor, Director; Murder at the Howard Johnson's - Actor; Godspell - director; Annie Get Your Gun - Producer; Don't Dress For Dinner - Director.
Ruth Dahlin
Ruth has been active with the Board of Directors since 1983. She began by working on costumes and later make up. She also appeared onstage in several productions, including the part of Aunt Martha in Arsenic and Old Lace. Ruth claims that over the years she has seen actors and technicians come and go...and she's still here. "I recommend it to anyone - It keeps me young!"
